{since we're on the topic of weddings...}

Who am I kidding? When am I not?

For my very first post, I decided to feature a photographer whose work took my breath away. Enter Max Wanger. I saw, I gasped and I hope you will too.

Here's a great series of photos from Grace and Dominic's fabulous e-session. Notice any sweet details?

The amazing thing is Max was able to take a tired, overused photo spot like the Santa Monica pier and gave it a fresh and unexpected look in his photos. What a lucky couple! Now that I'm officially on a sugar high, I'll leave you a few more wedding photo goodness.

I really don't know a thing about photography but I do know that I love his use of negative space. So emo!
Ginormous pink flower and oversized balloon... How does that not say "love"?

For the sake of variety, I'll try my best to give non-wedding-related photos some face time but I'm not making any promises. :)

WEDDING?!??!

No, no. Not mine (un)fortunately. Actually, the subject is on my mind as I'm pushing out a "wedding pitch" (for a client's product) to wedding blogs. Jenn so graciously sent over some of the wedding blogs she frequents (I knew I could count on her for this!) and I've spent the better half of the afternoon going through all of these blogs and feeling my heart rate (unexpectedly) climb. Unlike most girls, I do not overly fantasize about my wedding day. I'm not that obsessed girl picking out patterns and colors, locations and dresses, bridesmaids and flowers. (ok. maybe a little. JUST A LITTLE THOUGH!) Anyways. Been perusing these blogs to make sure they're the right fit for the type of outreach I'm conducting and I've been (temporarily, I hope!) sucked in. WEDDING CRAZE!!!!!! I FEEL IT! IN MY VEINS! SOMEBODY SAVE ME!

So I stumbled upon The Ritzy Bee Blog and saw some pictures of J.Crew's bridal attire. These pictures kind of made my heart melt - the way babies, puppies, sunsets and good music does. WHO AM I. Not going to lie, a little scared that this new oh-my-god-weddings thing isn't going to pass anytime soon. JENN (and work): WHAT HAVE YOU DONE.

(not crazy about this last dress but i like the photo. i could do without the dress...)
